S.RIDE Partners with Moplus to Create New Mobility Value by Combining Autonomous Driving and In-Car Entertainment

S.RIDE Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Yohei Hashimoto; hereinafter referred to as S.RIDE), the provider of the taxi app "S.RIDE®", will newly collaborate with Moplus Inc. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director CEO: Ken Yanase, Representative Director COO: Kazuaki Nakagawa; hereinafter referred to as Moplus), which promotes the social implementation of mobility services utilizing autonomous driving and EVs, to create new mobility value by combining autonomous driving and in-car entertainment in future autonomous mobility services.

As a first step in the collaboration between the two companies, an experiential exhibition of immersive in-car entertainment, envisioned for the future autonomous driving era, will be held at "CENTRAL FIELD (Rinko Park)", one of the venues for "CENTRAL MUSIC & ENTERTAINMENT FESTIVAL 2026" (hereinafter referred to as "CENTRAL"), held from April 3rd (Friday) to 5th (Sunday), 2026, in the Minato Mirai district of Yokohama. Through this collaboration, S.RIDE aims to further promote its "S.RIDE Entertainment Mobility Concept" for adding high value to mobility spaces and its initiatives in the autonomous driving domain.

Background and Objectives

S.RIDE has been conducting business verifications that fuse mobility and entertainment. In October 2024, they operated the immersive horror tour "Urban Legend Taxi", and for "CENTRAL" starting April 3rd, 2026, they are planning demonstration operations of entertainment experiences utilizing autonomous driving technology from Movies Inc. and immersive experience technologies from various Sony Group companies, thereby concretizing their efforts.

With the spread of autonomous driving technology in the future, mobility is expected to evolve beyond mere transportation into new experiential spaces. To further enhance the value of mobility spaces with its "S.RIDE Entertainment Mobility Concept" and to promote initiatives in the autonomous driving domain, S.RIDE will newly collaborate with Moplus, which is advancing the practical application of autonomous driving mobility services.

Exhibition of Immersive In-Car Entertainment for the Autonomous Driving Era at "CENTRAL"

At Rinko Park, one of the CENTRAL venues, as the first initiative of this collaboration, an experiential exhibition will be held utilizing a 10-seater mobility service EV provided by Moplus.

This exhibition is a concept display that expresses the possibilities of future in-car spaces, looking ahead to the autonomous driving era. Inside the mobility service EV, which features a spacious interior, cutting-edge technologies such as Sony's "Spatial Reality Display" capable of glasses-free 3D viewing, spatial audio, and "Tensor Valve™ Technology" for odor control will be combined to provide an immersive in-car entertainment experience utilizing the IP of "Kessoku Band", the fictional band from the anime "Bocchi the Rock!".

Furthermore, this exhibition will allow visitors to experience a part of the entertainment experience planned to be offered through demonstration operations of autonomous vehicles in the Minato Mirai district during the same period, in an exhibition format. This will propose the value of a new mobility experience that fuses autonomous driving and immersive entertainment, brought about by cutting-edge technology.
