Spice Factory Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Hironosuke Takagi; hereinafter "our company"), a company that supports Digital Transformation (DX), is pleased to announce that on March 18, 2026, it acquired all shares of InfoPort Inc. (Headquarters: Okayama City, Okayama Prefecture; hereinafter "InfoPort"), a company that develops and deploys Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), making it a wholly-owned subsidiary.
In addition to our conventional DX contracting support, our company will establish a position as a 'business operator' that owns products within its group and drives operational base transformation itself. Through this, we will more strongly promote the social implementation of logistics DX.
Furthermore, as part of the new management structure accompanying this matter, Hiroto Kojima, who has served as the head of our specialized logistics DX support team, has newly assumed the position of Representative Director of InfoPort Inc., and our Director and CSO, Ayano Ryugo, has been appointed as a Director of InfoPort.
## Background
Currently, the logistics industry is in an extremely challenging situation, with the manifestation of the "2024 Problem" and the projection that domestic transport capacity may be short by approximately 34% by 2030 (*). Our company organized a specialized logistics DX support team in 2024, but as an external support entity, there were limitations in fundamentally reforming the operational base that forms the core of on-site operations.
By welcoming InfoPort, which has provided products closely integrated with the field for 20 years, into our group, our company will take on the role of a product owner (stakeholder) to continuously improve and evolve the operational base. We will integrate technologies such as UI/UX design and generative AI utilization cultivated by our company to develop products that can truly be used on-site.
We aim to reduce the burden on each and every professional who supports logistics, such as drivers, warehouse staff, and dispatchers, and to pass on the 'taken-for-grantedness' of goods delivery to the next generation. As stakeholders in logistics DX, we will strive to build a sustainable social infrastructure.
