Spectee Concludes Memorandum of Understanding with Metropolitan Manila Development Authority in the Philippines

Spectee Inc., a resilience tech startup (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Kenjiro Murakami; hereinafter "Spectee"), announced that it has concluded a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (Headquarters: Pasig City; Chairman: ATTY. ROMANDO S. ARTES, CPA; hereinafter "MMDA"), a government agency that oversees urban administration, disaster prevention, and traffic management in Metro Manila, Philippines, regarding the utilization of its AI real-time disaster prevention and crisis management service, 'Spectee Pro'. This MOU was realized as part of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA)'s "SME and SDG Business Support Program." Metro Manila, Philippines, is one of Asia's leading megacities, with approximately 14 million people (approximately 24 million in the entire metropolitan area), and is also a region with a high risk of natural disasters such as typhoons, floods, and earthquakes. MMDA, as a government agency comprehensively responsible for disaster prevention, traffic management, and emergency response throughout Metro Manila, is promoting the establishment of a faster and more effective crisis response system. The real-time situation awareness and visualization functions of Spectee Pro are expected to contribute to the sophistication of MMDA's operations, leading to the conclusion of this MOU for collaboration between the two parties. Based on this MOU, MMDA will be provided with access to Spectee Pro and will utilize it for real-time monitoring of disasters, incidents, and traffic conditions occurring in Metro Manila.
