Space Shift Launches 'SateAIs™ API' Beta, Making Satellite Data Analysis Accessible to Everyone
Space Shift has begun offering the beta version of its 'SateAIs™ API', a satellite data analysis API. This service transforms satellite data analysis, which previously required specialized knowledge and weeks of contract adjustments, into an API that can be utilized in minutes through a browser.

Space Shift Inc. (Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Shigeo Kanemoto; hereinafter 'Space Shift') has commenced the beta provision of 'SateAIs™ API' (https://console.spcsft.com/), a self-serve environment for its satellite data analysis brand 'SateAIs™'. This environment allows users to complete API key issuance, analysis execution, job management, and usage visualization all within a browser.
This development transforms satellite data analysis, which previously required weeks of contract adjustments and specialized knowledge, into an API that can be activated within minutes of opening a browser.
From something 'to be requested' to something 'to be used by oneself' — Space Shift is fundamentally changing how satellite data is utilized.

■ Expanding Use Cases with SateAIs API
Until now, satellite data analysis required many individual steps—data procurement, pre-processing, and algorithm implementation—to be integrated before it could be used in business operations. SateAIs API consolidates this series of processes into a single API request, providing an environment where anyone can utilize satellite data analysis according to their own operational needs.
Direct Integration into Existing Systems — Invoke analysis with a single API request from GIS, core business systems, BI dashboards, in-house workflows, etc. Data acquisition, pre-processing, model execution, and results delivery are all handled by the SateAIs API.
Significant Reduction in Analysis Barriers — No need for satellite data procurement, pre-processing, or algorithm implementation. Analysis results can be obtained by simply specifying the target area (scene ID or AOI) and period.
Regular, High-Volume, Automated Execution — For applications such as regularly monitoring multiple locations, asynchronous jobs and job management functions enable efficient analysis execution.

■ What is SateAIs?
SateAIs is a systematic analysis brand by Space Shift, categorizing its satellite data analysis algorithms by application and delivery method, under the concept of 'Satellite x AI Analysis for practical use'. By organizing highly specialized satellite data analysis, which previously had high barriers to entry, into AI packages selectable by purpose, it provides an environment where a wide range of users, including local governments, corporations, and research institutions, can utilize it to address business challenges.
In addition to existing analysis packages (report delivery with consulting), the release of 'SateAIs API' adds a new option for self-service satellite data analysis, allowing users to access only what they need, when they need it.
■ Four Analysis Endpoints Provided in Beta
The beta version offers the following four analysis algorithms utilizing SAR satellite 'Sentinel-1' data:
Ship Detection AI (SateAIs Ocean): Automatically detects ship positions in specified sea areas.
Oil Slick Detection AI (SateAIs Ocean): Automatically detects oil films on the sea surface.
New Building Detection AI (SateAIs City): Detects changes from non-building to building.
Time Series Change Detection AI (SateAIs Time): Provides regular observations and change alerts for specified locations.
All can be invoked by specifying a scene ID or AOI + observation period. Execution status can be checked via asynchronous jobs, and results can be downloaded via signed URLs upon completion. Corresponding analysis algorithms are planned for sequential expansion.
