Fukushima Drone School has significantly renewed its beginner course, now called the "National Qualification Step-up Course," to align with the increasing demand for national drone pilot qualifications. This renewal addresses the need for systematic knowledge and practical skills in drone operation, especially three years after the start of the Unmanned Aircraft Pilot Skill Certification System. Key changes include expanding the course size from 5m x 5m to 5m x 7m, increasing the operating position distance from 6m to 8m, enhancing A-mode flight training to include movement operations beyond just hovering, and providing an experience of the national qualification test course. The course maintains its focus on fundamental safety operations and practical outdoor training. Scheduled sessions are May 12-14, 2026, and June 1-3, 2026, each limited to 4 participants. As part of its 10th-anniversary celebration, the school offers a 10% discount on DJI drones or combo sets and a battery fireproof bag for those who enroll by the end of October. Since its establishment in 2016, Fukushima Drone School has trained over 500 individuals, and it aims to further strengthen practical operational skills by incorporating extensive field experience into its curriculum.
