Japan Underwater Drone Association Signs MOU with DAEHAN EnC of South Korea to Cooperate in Underwater Drone Promotion, Social Implementation, and Human Resource Development in Korea

Japan Underwater Drone Association (Representative Director: Yasuhiro Kobayashi / Secretariat Operation: Space One Co., Ltd., Taito-ku, Tokyo) announces that it has signed an MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) with South Korean engineering company DAEHAN EnC regarding cooperation on the promotion activities, social implementation, and human resource development of underwater drones in South Korea.

1. Information sharing on underwater drone technology and systems We will share the knowledge on underwater drone technology, operation methods, and related systems that the Japan Underwater Drone Association has accumulated in Japan, and cooperate with DAEHAN EnC's utilization study activities in South Korea. 2. Cooperation in utilization studies in industrial, public, and research fields We will cooperate in studying target fields and utilization methods for the utilization of underwater drones in a wide range of fields such as industry, public, and research, including infrastructure inspection. 3. Cooperation in education, seminars, exhibitions, and technological exchanges We will cooperate in promoting understanding of underwater drones and developing practical human resources through educational programs, seminars, exhibitions, and technological exchanges. 4. Cooperation toward joint businesses and demonstrations The Japan Underwater Drone Association will provide knowledge and advice as necessary for demonstrations and trial initiatives advanced by DAEHAN EnC, and cooperate in studies toward implementation. 5. Cooperation in creating a promotion system in South Korea We will share information and provide advice on system design, operational structure, and human resource development concepts toward the creation of a system to promote the growth of the underwater drone market in South Korea and the consideration of establishing related organizations in the future. The MoU also clearly states cooperation toward the establishment of a promotion organization (including studies toward establishment).
