General Incorporated Association SPACETIDE (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Masayasu Ishida) in collaboration with 01Booster Inc. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: George Goda; hereinafter "01Booster"), will continue to promote the "Space City Development Promotion Project (Kii Space Hub)" commissioned by Wakayama Prefecture (Location: Wakayama City, Wakayama Prefecture; Governor: Izumi Miyazaki) in fiscal year 2026, following its success in fiscal year 2025.

This project aims to promote the concentration of the space industry starting from Spaceport Kii and to create new industries in Wakayama. In fiscal year 2026, we will further broaden the scope for regional companies to participate in space business and advance the transition to the "implementation phase," accelerating concrete business creation and collaborations.

FY2025 Achievements: Regional Companies' Entry into Space Becomes a "Reality"

In fiscal year 2025, over 840 participants attended kick-off events, entry seminars, and workshops, greatly raising interest in space business in the region.

Furthermore, through the program, concrete seeds for business commercialization and collaboration for prefectural companies entering the space sector have begun to emerge, including:

- Matching and creating collaborations with space startups - Specific collaborations such as lunar rover and satellite component development - Developing new businesses utilizing satellite data

FY2026: Towards the "Implementation Phase" of Space Industry Entry

In fiscal year 2026, building upon the initiatives born in fiscal year 2025, we will advance from "interest" to "implementation" and accelerate the concretization of space business.

Specifically, we will promote the creation of regional industries starting from space, focusing on:

- Further promoting prefectural companies' entry into the space industry - Creating businesses mainly in the Kinan region and supporting the creation and accompaniment of regional projects by local governments - Expanding the scope of human resource development and education
