SoVeC Develops and Provides Web-Based XR "Greater Shinagawa Launch! Nostalgic Yamanote Line & Tokyo Monorail XR"

SoVeC Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Mamoru Kamikawa; hereinafter referred to as SoVeC) has developed and is providing a web-based XR-powered sightseeing experience called "Greater Shinagawa Launch! Nostalgic Yamanote Line & Tokyo Monorail XR" at OIMACHI TRACKS and WATERS takeshiba, which opened on March 28, 2026, as part of the co-creation urban development initiative for "Greater Shinagawa" promoted by the JR East Group.

This initiative recreates the Type NADE6110 (former Yamanote Line train) and the Tokyo Monorail Type 100, symbolizing the area's history and railway culture, using XR. Users can enjoy a realistic experience where AR trains appear simply by holding up their smartphones.
The nostalgic trains are reproduced with overwhelming quality and meticulous detail in 3DCG, allowing for a powerful AR train experience even on the web.
Furthermore, by visiting both OIMACHI TRACKS and WATERS takeshiba and experiencing the XR content at each location, visitors can receive original wallpapers as a special gift.
The aim is to create new tourism value that allows people to experience the charm of the city more deeply through the immersive power of XR.

■ Technical Features

SoVeC has previously offered the location-based AR app "XR CHANNEL"*², which utilizes VPS (Visual Positioning Service)*¹.

In this initiative, SoVeC leverages Sony Corporation's high-precision VPS technology on a web-based platform, enabling highly accurate positional recognition without the need for a dedicated app. This provides a new XR experience that tourists can easily participate in.
