Survey on Awareness of 'Standardization' of Specific Voluntary Inspections in Construction Machinery Rental Industry

SORABITO Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President: Kazuaki Hakata) has conducted a survey on the 'standardization' of specific voluntary inspections targeting those engaged in the construction machinery rental business and has released a white paper titled 'Industry Survey Report on the Standardization of Specific Voluntary Inspections.' As of January 1, 2026, the system for specific voluntary inspections has changed from operation based on the conventional 'Periodic Voluntary Inspection Guidelines' to operation based on 'Specific Voluntary Inspection Standards' established by the Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare. In this survey, we confirmed the awareness of the system change, internal response status, and issues in the implementation and management of specific voluntary inspections among 107 people engaged in the construction machinery rental business. As a result, 56% of respondents answered that they 'did not know' that the specific voluntary inspection standards had been applied, and 71% answered that they 'did not know' that the operation had changed from 'guidelines' to 'standards' due to this system change. This report organizes the awareness and response status regarding the 'standardization' of specific voluntary inspections in the construction machinery rental industry based on these survey results.
