Sony General Insurance Co., Ltd. Of the 341 individuals with preschool-aged children, when asked about difficulties when driving with children, "children making a mess inside the car" (21.7%) was the most common, followed by "children fussing", "concerned about children's condition" (both 19.1%), "diaper changing location/timing" (18.5%), and "child's dislike of car seats" (13.2%).

When asked how they deal with children fussing during a drive, the top responses were: 1st place "talking to them" (28.7%), 2nd place "playing music the child likes", "showing videos/DVDs" (both 22.6%), 4th place "giving them favorite snacks" (21.7%), and 5th place "giving them toys" (20.2%).

How do you deal with children fussing during a drive?

Of the 341 individuals with preschool-aged children, when asked what they emphasized when choosing a child seat, "safety" (27.3%) was the most common. This was followed by "price" (24.0%), "type (revolving/fixed)" and "installation method (seatbelt fixed/ISOFIX)" (both 22.0%), and "manufacturer/brand" (19.1%).
