Sony Network Communications, together with Hakuhodo, Hakuhodo Products, and JRI, will handle the planning and operation of the deep tech international event "Global Startup EXPO 2026" (Period: October 5, 2026 – October 7, 2026; Locations: Umekita, Nakanoshima, etc.) implemented under this Project. By utilizing the expertise and international networks with governments, universities, corporations, and startups held by Sony Group—a creative entertainment company backed by technology—and consulting firms that have led numerous research-driven (deep tech) and social problem-solving (social impact) startups to success, the consortium will promote information exchange and collaboration between Japan's representative research seeds, primarily in Osaka and Kansai, and top-class overseas entrepreneurs and investors, thereby supporting the creation of new businesses.
Starting April 22, pre-registration for "Global Startup EXPO 2026" is open for domestic and overseas startups, business corporations, investors, financial institutions, local governments, universities/research institutions, support organizations, and aspiring entrepreneurs (Note 1).
Sony Network Communications, along with Hakuhodo, Hakuhodo Products, and JRI, will contribute to showcasing Osaka and Kansai's potential, such as deep tech startup technologies, to the world. They will also support the social implementation of future technologies revealed at the Expo, the creation of new industries in the deep tech field, and the formation of industrial clusters.
