The business design award "MAU SOCIAL IMPACT AWARD 2026" is an activity that aims to create new business models by conceptualizing businesses that pose questions to society, starting from students' own experiences and senses of incongruity.
Under Sony's Purpose "Fill the world with emotion, through the power of creativity and technology," Sony Marketing will work on creating new value through the business design award "MAU SOCIAL IMPACT AWARD 2026."
In this award, Sony Marketing employees will consistently participate as mentors for each selected team, from the workshops held in the primary screening to the business idea formation camp for the final screening presentation. In addition, for the winners of the "Sony Marketing Special Award," an opportunity for discussion with Sony Marketing will be provided as a place to consider the possibility of a Proof of Concept (PoC). This aims to connect ideas with actual social issues and consider the possibility of commercialization, rather than just leaving the ideas as concepts. Thus, an initiative in which a company is deeply involved from the workshop stage to the proof of concept is the first attempt in this award.
By practically supporting the resolution of social issues originating from students' experiences and senses of incongruity, we will promote initiatives for value creation together with Musashino Art University.
