Donation to Toyama Prefecture's "Tateyama Nature Conservation Activity Promotion Project"

Sompo Japan Insurance Inc. (President & CEO: Koji Ishikawa, hereinafter "Sompo Japan") and Shinagawa Group Co., Ltd. (Representative: Yuichiro Shinagawa, Shinagawa Group Co., Ltd. Headquarters, Toyota Mobility Toyama Co., Ltd., Toyama Daihatsu Sales Co., Ltd., hereinafter "Shinagawa Group") announced that they made a donation on March 24, 2026, to the "Tateyama Nature Conservation Activity Promotion Project" implemented by Toyama Prefecture (Governor: Hachiro Nitta).

1. Background and History This initiative is part of the "Automobile Insurance to Protect Tateyama's Nature" activities jointly carried out by Sompo Japan and Shinagawa Group since 2022. The "Automobile Insurance to Protect Tateyama's Nature" involves donating a portion of the profits from the sale of automobile insurance policies to customers to the "Invasive Plant Removal Activities," one of the "Tateyama Nature Conservation Activity Promotion Projects" implemented by Toyama Prefecture. While we hold a donation ceremony for the "Automobile Insurance to Protect Tateyama's Nature" every March, we also conduct invasive plant removal activities around Tateyama Midagahara and Murodo every summer, driven by the desire to do something with our own hands beyond just donating.
