Gongendo Sakura Tsutsumi is a landscape asset representing the region, where approximately 1,000 cherry trees bloom in the spring, attracting many visitors every year. "SomeQ Sakura Bridge," which spans the cherry blossom embankment, serves as both a vital road for local residents and an important bridge for visitors coming to see the cherry blossoms.
Comment from Mr. Sumio Kimura, Mayor of Satte City, Saitama Prefecture
"The fact that the Soto-no-hashi bridge has been given the nickname 'SomeQ Sakura Bridge' is highly significant for our city, and I am confident that it will become a new local symbol that remains in the hearts of all who visit. Naming rights represent a symbolic initiative where companies and local governments act as partners to support and nurture the future of the region together. I hope that this agreement will lead to 'SomeQ Sakura Bridge' being cherished by many for a long time to come and that it will contribute significantly to enhancing the appeal of Satte City."
Comment from Sadao Hishiki, Representative Director and President of SomeQ Technology Co., Ltd.
"I am deeply honored and humbled by the overly generous words from Mayor Kimura. When people think of Satte, they think of the cherry blossoms at Gongendo. For us, we are thrilled to have been given such an opportunity. We built our small factory in Satte in 1989. After 40 years, I am truly grateful to have been blessed with this wonderful opportunity."
Installation of signage for "SomeQ Sakura Bridge" In conjunction with the blooming of the cherry blossoms at Gongendo, we will use our company's products to paint the support pillars of "SomeQ Sakura Bridge" and install signage featuring the new name. The painting of the pillars is already complete. The signage has been treated with anti-rust coating and is scheduled for installation. We hope that "SomeQ Sakura Bridge" will be cherished by the local community and serve as a bridge that connects the charm of Satte City to the future, while also contributing to the realization of a sustainable society through this project.
