≪Organization Overview≫

With the mission of "bringing smiles to hospitalized children," we support children battling pediatric cancer and serious illnesses and their families through programs based on academic theory and insights from nursing and psychology, ensuring children can keep smiling during their hospitalization and long-term treatment.

The organization's projects include: ① "Facility Dogs®" permanently stationed in hospitals, highly trained to provide medical intervention such as accompanying procedures and promoting rehabilitation, and silently comforting children when they sense anxiety or pain; ② the introduction of "Beads of Courage®," where children record their difficult treatment processes with colorful glass beads; and "Shine On! Connections," which connects hospitalized children with the outside world online; "Camp Courage," a community for pediatric cancer survivors and their families; and "Shine On! Friends," a dedicated web community for pediatric cancer survivors to connect.

The project philosophy is to consistently support children's "hearts" from the initial diagnosis through treatment to life after discharge. We are currently accelerating our activities towards achieving a "Facility Dog® 14-team system" by 2030.

◆ Target Audience: Those interested in Facility Dogs® or Beads of Courage®, those concerned with the "emotional care" of children battling pediatric cancer, those interested in the future activities of the presenting organization, and those wishing to participate in activities through donations. Also, those interested in NPOs/NGOs working to solve social issues.
