[Report] Snowflake Summit 26: Ushering in the 'Agentic Enterprise' Era where AI Agents Operate Autonomously and Collaborate with Humans

June 9, 2026 (JST): Snowflake (NYSE: SNOW), the AI Data Cloud company, held its annual user conference, 'Snowflake Summit 26,' in San Francisco from June 1 to June 4. This year, the largest event in its history, drew over 20,000 attendees and featured over 500 sessions and 200 partners, unveiling numerous innovations shaping the future of data and AI.

At Snowflake Summit 26, based on the recognition that 'AI is no longer in the experimental stage but in an era where it is operated across the entire enterprise,' Snowflake showcased a vision of evolving from a traditional AI Data Cloud into an 'Agentic Enterprise Platform' for governing and operating enterprise AI agents.

In the opening keynote on the first day, Snowflake CEO Sridhar Ramaswamy emphasized that AI is no longer just a 'promise' but is now producing tangible results. He declared the arrival of the 'Agentic Enterprise' era, where organizations collaborate with autonomously functioning AI agents. He identified four essential elements to realize this vision: ① Enterprise data and context, ② AI models, ③ Applications, and ④ an 'Agentic Control Plane' to integrate them.

Snowflake proposed a new category called the 'Agentic Control Plane,' designed to govern enterprise data, AI models, and business applications comprehensively, rather than providing AI models itself. It is positioned as a 'command center' for operating the growing number of AI agents within an enterprise in a secure and governed manner.

Industry-leading customers and partners joined the keynote. Accenture Chair & CEO Julie Sweet and Chief Strategy and Services Officer Manish Sharma discussed the importance of a robust data foundation to translate AI into actual business outcomes. Additionally, Snowflake announced significant progress in its strategic partnership with Anthropic. Engaging in a discussion on rapid AI model evolution with Daniela Amodei, Anthropic Co-founder and President, they shared the common recognition that 'trust is an accelerator' in balancing innovation and safety.

During the platform keynote on the second day, Snowflake Co-founder and President of Products Benoit Dageville and EVP of Products Christian Kleinerman discussed innovations to accelerate enterprise AI.

Benoit recalled the founding mission of 'eliminating data silos' and the principle of 'all data, all compute, all users.' He warned that building isolated AI stacks in the agentic enterprise era would create new silos and increase costs, emphasizing the importance of running AI and data on a single unified platform.

Christian then spoke of a vision to make complex data technology easily accessible to everyone through AI, quoting Arthur C. Clarke: 'Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.' Introducing numerous new features along the themes of 'Ease of use,' 'Trust and governance,' and 'Interoperability,' he pledged that Snowflake would become the foundation for securely executing AI within a strong security perimeter, enhancing productivity across the organization.

A live demo by Principal Developer Advocate Dash Desai was also showcased. Dash demonstrated how the developer-focused agent, 'Snowflake CoCo' (formerly Cortex Code), diagnoses anomalies in data pipelines using only natural language instructions and automatically repairs them securely with user permission. A demo using the personal work agent 'Snowflake CoWork' (formerly Snowflake Intelligence) showed how AI assists with work under strict data movement limitations.
