The Organization for Small & Medium Enterprises and Regional Innovation, JAPAN (SMRJ) (President: Tadashi Miyagawa; Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo), in collaboration with the Small and Medium Enterprise Agency, announces that as of Thursday, March 26, 2026, the number of companies publicly registered under the '10 Billion Yen Declaration' project—an initiative supporting businesses and entrepreneurs aiming for the ambitious goal of 10 billion yen in sales—has surpassed 3,000, reaching a total of 3,050. The '10 Billion Yen Declaration' was launched in fiscal year 2025 to encourage growth-oriented SMEs to set high targets and clarify their strategies, organizational structures, and management commitments. Since applications opened on May 8, 2025, and the first batch of companies was announced on June 17, applications have been continuously received from SMEs across various industries nationwide. This milestone of over 3,000 companies demonstrates the steady expansion of the base of SMEs challenging themselves to achieve significant growth. Many of these companies are aiming for exponential growth through capital investment, human resource development, digital transformation (DX), overseas expansion, and M&A, and are expected to serve as drivers of regional economies. Recognizing that these companies face various management challenges during their growth process, SMRJ provides comprehensive support to help them reach the 10 billion yen target. This includes the SME Growth Acceleration Subsidy, the organization of management networks for peer discussion and insight sharing, and hands-on support from SMRJ staff and experts.
