The Small and Medium Enterprise Management Foundation (Chairman: Masaru Miyakawa, Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo), along with the Small and Medium Enterprise Agency, announced that as of March 26, 2026 (Thursday), the number of declared companies for the '10 Billion Yen Declaration' project, which supports companies and entrepreneurs challenging themselves to achieve a high goal of 10 billion yen in sales, has exceeded 3,000, reaching 3,050 declared companies. The '10 Billion Yen Declaration' was launched in FY2025 as an initiative for growth-oriented SMEs to set high goals for themselves and clarify their strategies, systems, and management commitment for their realization. Since applications began on May 8, 2025, and the first batch of declared companies was announced on June 17, applications have continued to be received from SMEs across the country and in a wide range of industries. This milestone of over 3,000 companies signifies the steady expansion of the base of SMEs challenging themselves to grow. Many declared companies aim for rapid growth through capital investment, human resource development, DX, overseas expansion, and M&A, and are expected to play a leading role in their regional economies. On the other hand, facing various management challenges in the process of achieving 10 billion yen in sales, the SME Support Agency supports these declared companies in their efforts to achieve 10 billion yen in sales through various soft support measures, such as the SME Growth Acceleration Subsidy, hosting management network events in various regions for management discussions and insights, and providing hands-on support from SME Support Agency staff and experts.
