Smile and Jasmine Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) has begun a limited sale of "Shareable Okoshi" - "Hokkaido Beet & Setouchi Lemon," "Kishu Nanko Ume & Pistachio," and "Fukui Jujube, Goji Berry & Green Soybean" - on Makuake starting July 2, 2026.

This product was born from the founder's desire to create a healthy snack that everyone, from children to the elderly, can enjoy comfortably, satisfying both body and soul, by arranging okoshi, a favorite from her childhood.

Origin of the Product

Fruits Square, a food brand handled by the company, offers original products using domestic fruits and vegetables, driven by the desire to "get nutrients more easily from vegetables and fruits, not just supplements!"

We aimed to create snacks that are easy for anyone to eat and provide a moment of peace, whether during busy times or when wanting to share with someone, from snacks to late-night meals. Thus, we developed three types of okoshi.

Okoshi, Made More Freely

We thought that by combining fruits, vegetables, and nuts with okoshi, made from "rice" familiar to everyone since childhood, it could become a new, satisfying snack that is easy to eat. This led to product development.

This time, we have commercialized flavors that can be enjoyed by both children and the elderly, ranging from new combinations like beet x lemon, plum x pistachio, and jujube x goji berry x green soybean that make you want to try them, to deeply flavorful and nostalgic combinations.

Carefully Selected Ingredients

The okoshi base is made from domestic non-glutinous rice, and we have focused on domestic ingredients such as Hokkaido-produced beets, Setouchi-produced lemon paste, Kishu Nanko ume, Fukui Prefecture-produced jujubes, and domestically produced green soybeans. The product is made without artificial coloring or flavoring and is gluten-free.

We want everyone, from children to those busy with housework, childcare, caregiving, or work, as well as the elderly, to be able to eat this okoshi easily.
