Revision of Management Philosophy and Policy "SMFL Way"

Sumitomo Mitsui Finance and Leasing Company, Limited (President & CEO: Tetsuro Imaeda, hereinafter "SMFL") announced that it has revised "Our Value" within the "SMFL Way," the SMFL Group's management philosophy and policy, effective April 1, 2026.

SMFL reviewed its then-current management philosophy and policy in April 2020 and established the "SMFL Way." The "SMFL Way" consolidates five "Our Values" that all officers and employees should cherish, defining them as "Five Values."

Six years have passed since the establishment of the "SMFL Way," and the business environment surrounding SMFL has changed significantly. In addition, the scale and scope of businesses handled by the SMFL Group have expanded, and the organizational culture and the diversity of officers and employees have also progressed. In light of these circumstances, the "Five Values" will be revised as follows, with the aim of permeating and establishing "Integrity," the most important shared value among all officers and employees of the SMFL Group.

SMFL aims to fulfill its responsibilities to all stakeholders and its social mission as a company by sharing the "SMFL Way" as the foundation of its business activities among all officers and employees and realizing it. Going forward, SMFL will continue to strive to provide better value by appropriately reviewing the content of the "SMFL Way" as necessary, in line with changes in the external environment and within the SMFL Group.
