Revision of Corporate Philosophy and Management Policy "SMFL Way"

Sumitomo Mitsui Finance and Leasing Company, Limited (President: Tetsuro Imaeda, hereinafter "SMFL") announces that it has revised "Our Value" of the "SMFL Way," the corporate philosophy and management policy of the SMFL Group, effective April 1, 2026. In April 2020, SMFL reviewed its management philosophy and policy at the time and established the "SMFL Way." The "SMFL Way" consolidated the core values that all executives and employees should cherish into five principles, defined as the "Five Values." Six years have passed since the formulation of the "SMFL Way," and the business environment surrounding SMFL has changed significantly. In addition, the scale and scope of the businesses handled by the SMFL Group have expanded, and the organizational culture, as well as the diversity of its executives and employees, have advanced. Given these circumstances, we are revising the "Five Values" as follows, with the aim of instilling and establishing "Integrity" as the most important shared value among all executives and employees of the SMFL Group. SMFL aims to fulfill its responsibilities to all stakeholders and its social mission as a company by sharing the "SMFL Way" among all executives and employees as the foundation of its business activities and bringing it to life. Moving forward, we will continue striving to provide better value by appropriately reviewing the content of the "SMFL Way" as necessary to align with changes in the external environment and within the SMFL Group.
