Sumitomo Mitsui DS Asset Management Co., Ltd. (Location: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director, President & CEO: Wataru Ogiwara; hereinafter "the Company") announces that the total net asset value of its additional investment trust, the "Newton Power Innovation Fund (with currency hedge) / (without currency hedge)" (nicknamed "Power Revolution"; hereinafter "the Fund"), reached 606 billion yen as of April 9, 2026, surpassing 600 billion yen.
The Fund was newly established on October 28, 2024, with the aim of achieving medium- to long-term growth of trust assets by primarily investing in global equities expected to benefit from the expansion of electricity demand and transformations in the power market.
The actual management of the Fund is carried out by Newton Investment Management North America LLC.
Against the backdrop of economic growth in emerging countries and regions, global population increase, and the expansion of global electricity demand driven by technological advancements such as generative AI, as well as expectations for technological innovation in response, the Fund has received strong support from many investors, enabling its net asset value to exceed 600 billion yen in just over 1 year and 5 months since its establishment.
We will continue to manage the Fund to meet the trust of our investors.
