Sumitomo Mitsui Card Launches "Up to 20% V Point Back Campaign on Hotel Bookings via V-Trip!" for Visa Infinite, Platinum Preferred, and Gold Cardholders

Sumitomo Mitsui Card Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Koto-ku, Tokyo, President and CEO: Takeya Sasaki, hereinafter referred to as "Sumitomo Mitsui Card") will launch a campaign offering up to 20% V Point back on domestic and international hotel bookings made through the travel site "V-Trip" and paid for with eligible cards, starting July 1, 2026. There is no upper limit on the amount of points you can receive, so take this opportunity to enjoy your travels at a great value.

*The point back rate varies by card. Cardholders of Visa Infinite and Platinum Preferred will receive up to 20%, while Gold cardholders will receive up to 15%.

4. Conditions

(1) Vpass ID and V Member Number must be set up within V-Trip (*).

(2) Book domestic or international hotels through V-Trip and pay with an eligible card during the campaign period.

(3) Complete your hotel check-out within the campaign period.

*Setting up your Vpass ID is completed by accessing V-Trip while logged into Vpass.

*If your Vpass ID/V Member Number was already set up before the period and remains set up at the time of booking, you are eligible for the bonus.

*You can check the current status of your Vpass ID/V Member Number setup on the "Payment Information" screen of V-Trip.

5. Bonus

Increased card point back rate on the total booking price (including tax) for "domestic and international hotels" that meet the conditions during the campaign period (*).

In addition to the usual V-Trip point back (*), the following campaign bonuses will be applied, resulting in a maximum of 20% or 15% back respectively.

【For Visa Infinite and Platinum Preferred Cardholders】

13% of the total booking amount (including tax) for "domestic hotels" booked during the period that meet the conditions will be returned as V Points.

10% of the total booking amount (including tax) for "international hotels" booked during the period that meet the conditions will be returned as V Points.

【For Gold Cardholders】

12.5% of the total booking amount (including tax) for "domestic hotels" booked during the period that meet the conditions will be returned as V Points.

9.5% of the total booking amount (including tax) for "international hotels" booked during the period that meet the conditions will be returned as V Points.

*"V-Trip's usual point back" refers to 1.0% for the card's regular points, 0.5% for V Point partner merchants, and up to 8.5% for usage benefits for Visa Infinite and Platinum Preferred cardholders. With the addition of the campaign bonus of up to 13%, the total back is up to 20%. For Gold cardholders, it refers to 0.5% for the card's regular points, 0.5% for V Point partner merchants, and up to 4.5% for usage benefits. With the addition of the campaign bonus of up to 12.5%, the total back is up to 15%.
