Japan Small and Medium Business Owners Association to Hold "Subsidies/Grants Utilization Seminar 2026 in Kagoshima" on April 22 (Wed) for SMEs

The Japan Small and Medium Business Owners Association (JSMBOA) will host a free seminar in Kagoshima on April 22, 2026 (Wednesday), from 15:00 to 16:30, at Kagoshima Prefectural Cultural Center Hozan Hall (Yamashitacho 5-3, Kagoshima City). The seminar is designed for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) struggling with increasing labor and raw material costs. It will cover finding eligible government support systems and practical know-how for successful applications. Key program topics include new 2026 fiscal year systems making adoption costs effectively free, methods to cover wage increase costs, subsidies up to JPY 4.5 million for digitalization and AI implementation, systems covering over 75% of car/PC purchase costs, and methods to receive up to JPY 2.5 million for flyer and website creation. JSMBOA, a non-profit organization, notes that only 5.5% of SMEs currently utilize subsidies and grants, indicating a significant information disparity they aim to address.
