We asked 1,000 men and women aged 15-69 nationwide (all respondents) about their awareness of space.
First, when all respondents (1,000 people) were asked if they were interested in space, the percentage of those interested was 50.7%.
By gender and age group, the percentage of those interested was particularly high among men aged 50 and over (50s: 67.5%, 60s: 66.3%).
When asked if they believed there were other planets where humans could live like Earth, the percentage of those who believed so was 69.1%.
By gender and age group, among men, the percentage of those who believed so tended to increase with age from their 20s onwards.
