SivanS Lab will host "Old School? Smart School! Vol.1 – Reinventing AgeTech," a side event of SusHi Tech Tokyo 2026, on April 23, 2026, at SivanS Lab Tokyo (Shibuya-ku, Higashi). This conference focuses on AgeTech, aiming to redefine aging from a social challenge to a growth industry, shifting from treatment-centric care to prevention and wellness. It will gather domestic and international key players to discuss the social implementation of AgeTech and new business opportunities. Japan is a "challenge-advanced country" with rapid aging, but technology adoption in care remains fragmented. Globally, AgeTech is advancing rapidly with AI, robotics, and data. This event aims to bridge the gap between Japan and global trends, redefining AgeTech from a social issue to a growth industry. SivanS Lab plans to hold 3-4 innovation events annually across themes like Mobility, Retail, Sustainability, and AgeTech. This is the first in the AgeTech series. Vol.1 will introduce initiatives like vision-based AI for fall detection and automated care records, "Bathroom Health OS" for in-home preventive medicine, and "co-resident sensing" for early anomaly detection. Speakers include Gustav Strandell (CEO, International Care System Inc.), Sivan Nakamura (SivanS Group & SivanS Lab CEO), Nachi Katz (Kedem CEO), Yuta Yamanaka (Director of CareTech, ZENKOUKAI Lab), Masato Marumo (AI6 K.K. CEO), Stephen Johnston (Managing Director of Fordcastle), Hidemi Takeuchi (Intuition Robotics), and Yuta Endo (Co-founder & CEO of Voxela).
