Solamichi System Co., Ltd. (hereinafter "our company"), which plans, develops, and sells the cloud-based electronic medical record system "CARADA Electronic Medical Record Solamichi," will co-host an event with five companies providing various services for pharmacies. The event, "Experience the Complete 'Latest Pharmacy' That Will Dramatically Change Operational Efficiency Nationwide in 47 Prefectures - Putting an End to Labor Shortages and Long Working Hours -," will be held in Kobe City, Hyogo Prefecture, from August 17 (Mon) to 21 (Fri).

This experiential event has previously been held in Tokyo, Fukuoka Prefecture, Kagoshima Prefecture, and other locations, attracting approximately 550 organizations. It is a program for pharmacy owners and pharmacy executives responsible for system implementation and operational improvement, allowing them to actually experience AI and DX services that support the entire workflow from reception to payment.

In addition to experiencing the services, individual consultations on implementation and utilization will also be provided on the day.

Through this experiential event, we aim to provide an opportunity to consider operational efficiency through the use of AI and DX, and to create an environment where pharmacists can focus on each patient.

◆AI and DX Experiential Event to Support Improvement of Interpersonal Service Quality and Operational Efficiency for Pharmacies in Hyogo Prefecture!

The dispensing remuneration revision for Reiwa 8 (2026) will further strengthen interpersonal services, increasing the importance of pharmaceutical management that is close to patients, including gatekeeper functions and continuous follow-up.

However, labor shortages and increased workload are issues in pharmacy practice. In Hyogo Prefecture, according to the Pharmacist Distribution Index published by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare in Reiwa 5 (2023) as an indicator of pharmacist supply, the index for pharmacy pharmacists ranks 4th nationwide, and the regional pharmacist distribution index ranks 3rd nationwide, indicating a sufficient supply and diverse range of pharmacies.

On the other hand, a "Survey on the Actual Work of Pharmacists" conducted by our company nationwide revealed that the tasks for which pharmacists feel they "lack time" include "creation and recording of medical records," "dispensing (including inspection, unit dose packaging, preparation, etc.)," and "medication guidance and patient interaction at the counter." This indicates that while the importance of interpersonal services is increasing, the burden of core daily tasks is high.

In light of this situation, pharmacy DX is expected as one means of improving operational efficiency and reducing workload. Furthermore, with recent advancements in AI technology, AI support is beginning to be utilized in some input, recording, and verification tasks previously performed by humans. By reducing the workload through the use of AI, it is expected to create an environment where pharmacists can focus more on interpersonal services such as patient interaction and medication guidance.

At this experiential event, participants can experience the latest pharmacy DX solutions, including AI-powered prescription and medical record systems, through actual equipment and demo environments. Individual consultations will also be provided to offer opportunities for concrete consideration of pharmacy operations and directions for improvement.

[About "CARADA Electronic Medical Record Solamichi"]

"CARADA Electronic Medical Record Solamichi" is a cloud-based electronic medical record system that can record patient symptoms, prescription details, guidance history, and more. As a service to support pharmacists' work, it includes functions to check for high-risk drug interactions and to navigate medication guidance for patients.

It is equipped with features such as a "medication follow-up" function that is important for strengthening interpersonal services and promoting gatekeeper functions in the 2026 dispensing remuneration revision, support for creating tracing reports, and an AI medical record creation support function "AI Voice Input" that uses generative AI to convert medication guidance conversations into text and automatically reflect them in the medical record system*, thereby shortening the time required for medical record creation and improving the quality of medication guidance.

It also includes a function to check the status of medical record creation and a to-do list for patient support tasks. As a cloud-based system, medical records can be created regardless of location or time, contributing to the operational efficiency of pharmacists.

It received the Good Design Award in FY2021.
