Product Design Inspired by Fermentation Bubbles

The packaging design for "The Plump" series emerged from a collaboration with artists known for architecture, interior, and product design. Fermentation, the core of FAS’s product philosophy, is inherently serendipitous. Inspired by the theme of "encounter," the team selected the motif of "bubbles" from 100 materials created through experimentation. This evolved into a design where two bubbles appear to merge.

The top surface features concave and convex bubbles, symbolizing the fusion of skincare (self-refinement) and makeup (adornment). From another perspective, the two bubbles resemble cell division, embodying the essence of FAS—a brand built on fermented anti-aging*1—and its new serum-based makeup series.
