Siroca Home Bakery Series Switches All Bread Pans to Ceramic Coating!

Siroca Co., Ltd. (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) announced that following the premium series 'Ouchi Bakery Basic' and 'Ouchi Bakery Basic Plus' relaunched in February, their standard series home bakeries will also feature ceramic-coated bread pans, with releases scheduled for April 2026.

On February 7th and 14th, 2026, the premium series 'Ouchi Bakery Basic' and 'Ouchi Bakery Basic Plus' were relaunched with enhanced deliciousness. The coating on the inside of the bread pan and the kneading blade was changed from the conventional fluoropolymer resin coating to ceramic coating.

Now, two models in the standard series home bakery lineup will also be released with their bread pan interiors and kneading blades coated with ceramic, replacing the fluoropolymer resin coating. With the launch of these products, the transition to ceramic coating for all bread pans in Siroca's currently sold home bakery series will be completed.

The fluoropolymer resin coating previously used is a material with no safety concerns and can continue to be used with peace of mind. However, from a manufacturing perspective, the 'difficulty in decomposition' property of fluorine has been pointed out as a potential environmental impact through factory wastewater affecting rivers and soil, leading to increasing regulations, particularly in Europe and North America. Therefore, looking towards the future and aiming for 'more secure manufacturing' that considers the environment, Siroca has made this change to ceramic coating.

*Older models SB-1D151/SHB-712/SB-111, which use fluoropolymer resin coating for the bread pan, will be sold while supplies last.

In addition to basic bread, it offers a wide range of bread types such as rice flour bread and high-hydration bread, as well as non-bread menus like udon/pasta dough, mochi, baked sweet potatoes, and fresh butter. Enjoy a wide variety of menus. (High-hydration bread is only available on SHB-812).

Both models can bake up to 2 loaves. They support 1-loaf, 1.5-loaf, and 2-loaf sizes, allowing for versatile use depending on the occasion.

Even for families with many members, baking two loaves on a weekend provides leftovers that can be frozen and enjoyed for breakfast the next day or as a snack for children, perhaps toasted.

The coating on the inside of the bread pan and the kneading blade has been changed from the conventional fluoropolymer resin coating to an environmentally friendly ceramic coating.

The included original recipe book features 82 recipes, allowing for a wide range of culinary creations. Ouchi Bakery Basic Plus

In addition to the menus on the 'Ouchi Bakery Basic', this model offers a 'Premium Bread' menu for rich brioche made with plenty of butter, and more enhanced non-bread menus such as dairy products like 'fresh cheese', 'fresh butter', 'yogurt', and 'raw caramel'. The included original recipe book contains 97 recipes, allowing for an even wider variety of dishes. With a capacity of up to 1.5 loaves, it's recommended for families of 3-4 people or those who want to make large batches to freeze.
