Siroca Corporation (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) announced that following the renewed launch in February of its premium series, "Ouchi Bakery Basic" and "Ouchi Bakery Basic Plus," its standard series home bakeries will also have their bread cases changed to ceramic coating, to be released in April 2026.

On February 7th and 14th, 2026, the premium series "Ouchi Bakery Basic" and "Ouchi Bakery Basic Plus" were relaunched in pursuit of even greater deliciousness. The coating on the inside of the bread case and the bread blade was changed from the conventional fluororesin coating to ceramic coating.
This time, two models of the standard series home bakeries will also be released with the coating on the inside of the bread case and the bread blade changed from fluororesin coating to ceramic coating. With the launch of these products, the transition to ceramic coating for all bread cases in Siroca's currently sold home bakery series will be completed.
The fluororesin coating used previously was also a material with no safety issues whatsoever and can continue to be used with peace of mind. However, looking at the manufacturing process, the property of fluorine being "difficult to decompose" has been pointed out as potentially affecting rivers and soil through factory wastewater, and regulations are progressing, mainly in Europe and the United States. Therefore, Siroca, looking to the future, decided to change to ceramic coating with the desire to achieve "safer manufacturing" that is environmentally friendly.

※Old models SB-1D151/SHB-712/SB-111, which use fluororesin coating for the bread case, will be sold only while supplies last.
