Subject to regulatory approval, a new service to Madrid via Barcelona will commence five times a week from October 26, 2026. Consequently, the current direct Singapore-Barcelona flights (SQ388 and SQ387), which operate twice a week, will be re-routed to this new service. Madrid will be Singapore Airlines' 15th destination in Europe and its second in Spain.
Dai Haoyu, Senior Vice President Marketing Planning at Singapore Airlines, stated:

Madrid is also gaining interest as a tourist destination and a business and financial hub, and we are delighted that this new service will provide even more options for our customers' travel plans."
From July 13, 2026, the Singapore-Manchester route (SQ302 and SQ301) will increase from the current five times a week to daily operations. The Singapore-London (Gatwick) route (SQ314 and SQ313), currently operating three times a week, will become daily from October 25, 2026. This, combined with the four daily flights to London (Heathrow), will result in a total of six daily flights between Singapore and London.
The Singapore-Milan route (SQ356 and SQ355) will also increase from the current four times a week to daily operations from October 25, 2026. Please note that with the launch of the new Madrid service, the Singapore-Milan-Barcelona route (SQ378 and SQ377), which operated three times a week, will be suspended from October 27, 2026.
Additionally, from October 26, 2026, a new direct Singapore-Munich service (SQ340 and SQ339) will be introduced three times a week, bringing the total to ten flights a week including existing services.
All flights are subject to regulatory approval, and aircraft types may change due to operational reasons.
The inaugural flight to Madrid (SQ388) is scheduled to depart Singapore at 23:30 (local time) on October 26, 2026, arrive in Barcelona at 06:40 (local time) the next day, depart Barcelona at 07:40 (local time), and arrive in Madrid at 08:50 (local time) on the same day.
The return flight (SQ387) is scheduled to depart Madrid at 10:00 (local time) on October 27, arrive in Barcelona at 11:15 (local time), depart Barcelona at 12:35 (local time) on the same day, and arrive in Singapore at 08:25 (local time) the next day.
The Singapore-Barcelona-Madrid route will be operated by the Airbus A350-900 long-haul aircraft (total 253 seats / 42 Business Class, 24 Premium Economy Class, 187 Economy Class).
