■ What is a Prosthetist and Orthotist, a medical professional who plays an important role close to patients?

Prosthetists and orthotists are medical professionals who support the social reintegration of patients who have lost physical functions due to accidents or illnesses, by molding and manufacturing prostheses, orthoses, and prosthetic limbs. They play a crucial role in improving patients' quality of life (QOL).

■ This time, simultaneous holding at two venues in Tokyo and Osaka! Providing a place to share useful information for all prosthetists and orthotists

Nippon Sigmax, as a medical device manufacturer in the orthopedic field, considers it its mission to stand by the challenges faced by prosthetists and orthotists in their daily work and provide information and knowledge to help solve them. With this in mind, we held the "1st Sigmax PO Seminar" in February 2025, which included lectures by experts including doctors and content on the latest medical trends, targeting prosthetists and orthotists.

Participants from the previous seminar provided feedback such as, "It was a very good seminar as an opportunity to talk directly face-to-face, which is difficult at academic conferences due to limited time for questions," and "I was able to hear things that I usually can't leisurely ask doctors in the field, and I feel it will be useful for explanations in the field."

Among the feedback, we received a request to "hold it in Osaka as well," and thus, we decided to hold the second seminar simultaneously at two venues in Tokyo and Osaka.

Through this seminar, we aim to support the knowledge enhancement of participants and, in turn, contribute to improving the quality of medical care in Japan.
