Today, OPERA TECH Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo, President and Representative Director: Keita Morikawa, hereinafter referred to as "Our Company"), a provider of AI contact center solutions for large enterprises, announces that it has become a wholly owned subsidiary following its acquisition by Sierra Technologies, Inc. (hereinafter referred to as "Sierra"), based in San Francisco, USA. About Sierra Sierra, co-founded in 2023 by Bret Taylor, Chairman of the OpenAI Board, and Clay Bavor from Google, is a company that provides software enabling businesses to enhance their "Customer Experience (CX)" through the utilization of AI agents. ・Bret Taylor: Co-developed Google Maps at Google, then served as CTO of Facebook, Chairman of Twitter, and Co-CEO of Salesforce. Currently serves as Chairman of the OpenAI Board.

・Clay Bavor: Spent 18 years at Google, overseeing Google Workspace, Google Labs, and the AR/VR division. Led the launch of Daydream, Starline, and Google Lens.

Sierra offers a customizable AI agent building platform for large enterprises, evolving customer support operations, traditionally reliant on human labor, into scalable software models. This allows companies to achieve cost reductions while enabling operators to focus on higher value-added tasks. ・Revenue Performance: Achieved an Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) of $150 million (approximately 21 billion yen) within two years of establishment.

・Funding: Raised a total of $635 million from investors including Sequoia Capital, Benchmark, ICONIQ Capital, Thrive Capital, Greenoaks Capital, and SoftBank Vision Fund.
