Survey Background
Since 2024, the search experience has changed significantly.
With the spread of generative AI search services such as Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, and Perplexity, "what AI recommends" directly influences consumer decision-making.
According to a survey by CyberAgent GEO Lab (October 2025, targeting 9,278 people nationwide), users utilizing generative AI for search reached 31.1% across all generations, rapidly increasing by approximately 1.5 times in six months. Among those in their 20s, it was 44.3%, and in their teens, 64.1%, indicating that generative AI is becoming the main search method for younger demographics.
Furthermore, 37.2% of parallel users responded that "more than half of their search behavior has switched to generative AI."
Especially in the dating app industry, inquiries to generative AI are rapidly increasing as consumers use it, in addition to "comparison sites," "YouTube," and "word-of-mouth from friends," as criteria for choosing apps. The situation where brands not recommended by AI "do not even make it to the selection stage" is becoming a reality.
This survey aims to redefine the overall recognition structure and brand power of the industry by visualizing the mention share of each brand on AI.
