Celebrating its 25th Anniversary, 'Yuuyu' Produces a Real Space to Connect with Readers! Experiential Event 'Yuuyu Academy' to Enrich Adult Lifestyles to be Held for the First Time on August 1 (Sat)!

The magazine 'Yuuyu' (published by Shufu no Tomo Co., Ltd.), which proposes hints for a richer and more enjoyable life with the theme 'From 50 Onward, It's Me First,' has reached its 25th anniversary.

To commemorate this, we will hold our first experiential event, 'Yuuyu Academy,' where readers, the editorial department, and new 'learning, products, and services' can connect in real life, on August 1, 2026 (Sat).

Background of the Event: Transitioning to Quarterly Publication, from Magazine to 'Brand that Enriches Life'

Starting this fiscal year, 'Yuuyu' has transformed from a monthly publication to a quarterly one. We want to be a brand that not only delivers information but also allows readers to deeply savor each issue and, furthermore, stays with readers throughout their lives beyond the framework of a magazine. With this aspiration, we have launched this event.

'Yuuyu Academy' will set attractive themes each time, featuring seminars with experts and celebrities from various fields, as well as booths for related products and services. Furthermore, with the participation of many 'Yuuyu Friends' representing our readers, we aim to be a warm third place where new communities and interactions can be born.

Concept for the 1st Session: 'Everyone's Secret Beauty Activities'

The theme for the commemorative first session, linked to the summer issue of 'Yuuyu' currently on sale, is 'Everyone's Secret Beauty Activities.' This event allows participants to experience 'well-aging' – glowing healthily while embracing their age.

We will hold a talk show on beauty and health with actor Jun Anna, a practical workshop by popular beauty expert SHOKO, and a talk session with shoe fitter Seisei Sato, whose appointments are always fully booked.
