Shufunotomo Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Kami-Osaki, Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo) will hold a special talk show with the author, Tetsuo Warai-meshi, on Thursday, May 14, 2026, to celebrate the release of his anticipated new novel, 'Atama wo Mokugyo ni.' The novel, priced at 1,760 JPY (tax included) and consisting of 256 pages (Shiroku-ban format), will be released on Wednesday, May 13, 2026. The event will take place from 19:00 to 20:30 (doors open 18:45) at the Shufunotomo 6F Cafe Space, Meguro Central Square, Kami-Osaki 3-1-1, Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo (1 minute walk from Meguro Station). Attendance is limited to the first 80 applicants. The participation fee is 3,000 JPY (tax included), which includes the book price. The application deadline is May 13, 2026, at 18:00. The event will include behind-the-scenes stories, writing episodes, and a Q&A session with questions submitted via social media. All participants will receive a signed copy of the book. Tetsuo Warai-meshi, born in Sakurai City, Nara Prefecture in 1974, graduated from Kwansei Gakuin University with a degree in Philosophy. He formed the comedy duo 'Warai-meshi' in 2000 and won the M-1 Grand Prix in 2010. His previous works include 'Hannya Shingyo Translated by Tetsuo Warai-meshi for Eteko' and 'Buddha Laughs: Stories of Buddhism.'
