"I wanted to create a picture book that I could read to my own child after becoming a father in 2025, so I drew this.

I created this book with two things in mind: that children would enjoy it, and that it would be a picture book drawn by a comedian. It's a book that allows for many interjections while reading. I hope people will enjoy reading it while pointing out the mistakes in the world depicted in this picture book."

◆ Kemuri Matsui ◆ (まつい・けむり)

Born May 29, 1993, from Kanagawa Prefecture. Comedian.

While attending Keio University, he formed the comedy duo "Reiwa Roman" with his junior, Kuruma Takahira. In 2023, they won the "M-1 Grand Prix" in their first appearance in the finals, and the following year, 2024, they achieved an unprecedented second consecutive victory in the tournament's history.

In his personal life, he announced his marriage and the birth of his first child in June 2025, and also has the role of a father of one. He is expanding his range of activities in various fields, including publishing his essay collection "The Sloth's Morning Starts in the Afternoon." on animal knowledge in April 2026.
