Showcase's Total KYC Tool 'ProTech ID Checker' Surpasses 400 Corporate Adoptions

Showcase Corporation (Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Junichi Hiranoi; Securities Code: 3909; hereinafter "Showcase"), a provider of DX cloud services connecting companies and customers, is pleased to announce that its identity verification tool, "ProTech ID Checker," has surpassed a cumulative total of 400 corporate adoptions.

This growth is driven by the increasing need for identity verification due to legal amendments and stricter regulations. Revisions to the Act on Prevention of Transfer of Criminal Proceeds are expected to tighten identity verification requirements for in-person transactions, with a shift toward operations based on reading IC chip information from identity documents being considered. Furthermore, following amendments to the Act on Prevention of Unauthorized Use of Mobile Phones, telecommunications operators and other sectors are facing stricter verification requirements, leading to expanded demand for eKYC across finance, telecommunications, and a wide range of other industries.

The "ProTech ID Checker" is a total KYC (tKYC) service that can be used in a wide range of scenarios, including bank and securities account opening, mobile phone contracts, second-hand goods purchasing, and membership registration for various services, whether in-person or online. It supports all identity verification methods, including Public Personal Authentication (JPKI method) using the IC chip of the My Number Card, as well as IC authentication for driver's licenses and residence cards.

Cross-device authentication enables smooth in-person identity verification

In February 2026, anticipating the tightening of in-person transaction regulations due to the amendment of the Act on Prevention of Transfer of Criminal Proceeds, we launched a "QR code function with cross-device authentication." This allows end-users to use their own smartphones to read the IC chip information on their identity documents, realizing safe and strict identity verification even in face-to-face transactions.

Providing customization features for identity verification screens to reflect brand identity

In March of the same year, we added a unique customization feature that allows companies to change the identity verification screen to match their logos and brand colors. This enables the identity verification process to be seamlessly integrated as part of their own apps or services. It reduces user anxiety or discomfort caused by transitioning to an external service, providing a highly reliable identity verification experience while maintaining brand consistency.

Evaluated for its flexibility across various transaction types and industries, as well as its scalability in anticipation of legal changes, the number of adoptions exceeded 400 as of March 2026, with adoption expanding across various industries.
