For the 12th contest, there were 1,711 submissions. The Grand Prize in the General Category was awarded to "Nephew/Niece Peace of Mind Insurance", which covers funeral and burial costs, as well as tax accountant and judicial scrivener fees related to inheritance, upon the passing of an uncle or aunt. The Grand Prize in the Student Category was awarded to "Mobile Insurance for Outings", which provides coverage in cases where a mobile battery ignites in public facilities or transportation while out and about, amidst a rise in such incidents.
Additionally, this year saw submissions from elementary school students. The selection committee was deeply moved by the sincere consideration and warm perspective of the children, who thought about their loved ones and genuinely imagined "what kind of insurance would be nice to have." This led to the establishment of a Special Award.
