The Disastrous Life of Saiki K. Anime Announces 10th Anniversary Special Visual for 2026!

The highly popular comic "The Disastrous Life of Saiki K." by Shuichi Aso, serialized for six years in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (published by Shueisha), with all 26 volumes currently on sale and over 9 million copies in circulation, will celebrate its 10th anniversary in 2026 since the broadcast of its first TV anime season.

The first TV anime season began airing on Monday, July 4, 2016.

Since then, the anime "The Disastrous Life of Saiki K." has aired and distributed a total of 4 seasons, 56 episodes, and 280 stories, including the second season, the conclusion arc, and the reboot arc, reaching its 10th anniversary in 2026.

Today, a special visual commemorating the anime's 10th anniversary has been unveiled.

This 10th-anniversary special visual depicts familiar characters such as the mysterious idiot Nendo Riki, whose thoughts even Saiki Kusuo cannot read, the chuunibyou character Kaido Shun, the perfect beautiful girl Teruhashi Kokomi, and the former delinquent Kuboyasu Aren, all centered around the psychic Saiki Kusuo, portrayed as if they are popping out of a painting.

Furthermore, a deformed illustration of Saiki Kusuo bending a spoon with his psychic powers, which was showcased at Jump Festa 2026, has appeared as a special 10th-anniversary icon.

"The Disastrous Life of Saiki K." Anime Fan-Favorite Episode Voting Begins!

Voting to choose your "fan-favorite episode" from all 56 episodes (280 stories) across Season 1 to the Reboot Arc will begin on Friday, May 1st.

In addition to "fan-favorite episodes," we are also recruiting votes for special categories such as "Most Melodic Episode," "Oh Good Grief Episode," and "Ooh-f Episode"! The top 3 "fan-favorite episodes" and the 1st place in each special category will be distributed for free on Jump Channel for a limited time starting Sunday, August 16th!

It's surprising to think that challenging how many lines I could say without taking a breath feels like just the other day, but it's already been 10 years. Kusuo's clever and sharp retorts are always entertaining, no matter how many times I hear (or read) them. The story of Kusuo and his friends reminded me of the preciousness and importance of everyday life.
