TFW49, a lifestyle brand operated by COMITAS Inc. (Headquarters: Meguro-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Tomohiro Hayashi), is pleased to announce that it has signed a brand ambassador contract with former Japan national football team player Daisuke Matsui.

This marks the first time TFW49 has signed an ambassador contract with an athlete from the football domain.

To date, TFW49 has walked alongside top golfers, including contracted professional Naoyuki Kataoka, who has qualified for the 2026 Masters Tournament and The Open Championship, as well as professionals Yuka Saso and Kohei Okada. The brand's philosophy of 'supporting athletes who take on challenges,' cultivated through golf, will now expand into the new field of football.

Welcomed as the partner for this first step is Daisuke Matsui.

Matsui began his career with Kyoto Purple Sanga (now Kyoto Sanga F.C.) and continued his challenges on the European stage, being called the 'Sun of Le Mans' during his time in France. He represented Japan in the FIFA World Cup South Africa 2010. Even after retiring as a player, he continues to pass on his experience to the next generation as a coach and in the world of futsal.

His journey of repeatedly taking on challenges across borders and categories deeply resonates with the values that TFW49 holds dear.

[Comment from Daisuke Matsui]

I am Daisuke Matsui, and I have been appointed as a brand ambassador for TFW49.

Throughout my active career, I continued to take on challenges in various environments, including overseas. I feel that TFW49 possesses both the functionality to support athletes' challenges and a style that can be enjoyed in daily life.

I also empathize with the brand's stance of disseminating new value beyond the boundaries of competition, and I am very happy to be working with them this time.

Together with TFW49, I hope to convey the appeal of sports and the joy of taking on challenges to many people.

Details such as the product lineup and release date will be announced later on the TFW49 OFFICIAL SHOP and official channels.
