At Shonan iPark, approximately 220 companies and universities are engaged in daily research and business activities with the aim of creating innovation in life sciences. At this event, researchers working at Shonan iPark will directly convey the appeal of science to local residents. This is the fourth year for the event, and last year approximately 3,500 people, mainly from the local community, attended.

In the always popular science experience corner by resident companies, a total of 17 companies and universities will convey the appeal of their science, including a 'medicinal cream' making experience (Maruho) and an experience combining a robot arm and a microscope (Nikon). This year, a new seminar project, 'Corporate Frontline Talk: The Future of Research and Medicine,' will also be held. Experts from companies will provide easy-to-understand explanations of iPS cells (Origami Therapeutics) and medical activities (EA Pharma).

iPark Institute, the operating company of Shonan iPark, hopes that through this event, local residents will be exposed to cutting-edge science, and that children, who will lead the future, will be inspired to take an interest in careers related to science.
