Shoko Tsusho Certified as a Health and Productivity Management Outstanding Organization for Third Consecutive Year

Shoko Tsusho Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and Representative Director: Kentaro Watanabe), a general trading company handling materials such as chemicals, synthetic resins, metals, and ceramics, has been certified for the third consecutive year since 2024 in the large-scale corporate division of the "Health and Productivity Management Outstanding Organizations Recognition Program," jointly selected by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and the Nippon Kenko Kaigi.

Starting with the establishment of systems, identifying issues through data analysis in 2025, and seeing improvements materialize in figures in 2026, the PDCA cycle of health and productivity management is steadily functioning.

1. Three-Year Trajectory

■ 2024: Established the institutional foundation for health and productivity management and obtained initial certification.

We strengthened systems such as health check-ups and health guidance, including the introduction of comprehensive medical examinations for employees aged 35 and older, thereby promoting the "foundation building" for health and productivity management.

■ 2025: Certified for the second consecutive year. Visualized issues through data analysis.

A comparative analysis of our company's scores with the industry average clearly identified strengths and weaknesses. It was found that the "penetration among employees" score was particularly low, indicating that embedding it as an organizational culture is the challenge for the next phase.

■ 2026: Certified for the third consecutive year. The results of initiatives materialized in figures.

The "Line Care Training for Managers" and "Self-Care Training for All Employees" conducted in 2025, based on the analysis results, proved effective, leading to a significant improvement in the key issue of "penetration among employees" (from 35.1pt to 41.1pt compared to the previous period).

Furthermore, the results of our initiatives were confirmed from multiple perspectives, including items where the difference with the industry average narrowed, and items where our company improved while the industry average deteriorated.

This third consecutive certification as a Health and Productivity Management Outstanding Organization is, I believe, evidence that our initiatives, which began with system development, are starting to take root as an "organizational culture" through data analysis and training systems. However, our challenge truly begins now.
