Slow fashion brand SHOHEI, which fuses Austrian and Japanese sensibilities, will hold a pop-up for its joint project "Zen is Punk" with EDWIN for 17 days from Monday, May 11, to Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at "THE [ ] STORE" inside RAYARD MIYASHITA PARK. During the period, the main attraction will be EDWIN selvedge denim dyed with Kyoto persimmon and finished with sashiko handwork, alongside SHOHEI's signature IRENE MINI DRESS, MAKATO SHIRT, and new fringe tops.

About the collaboration "Zen is Punk"

"Zen is Punk" is a concept that overlays the spirit of Zen and Punk. It's about not conforming to authority, thinking for oneself, and choosing for oneself. This shared attitude is expressed through EDWIN's selvedge denim, dyed with Kyoto persimmon and finished with sashiko handwork. Persimmon dye deepens in color with light, wear, and time, developing a unique character for each wearer.

ZEN DENIM JACKET 505ZX02 / Persimmon Dye Selvedge

The main piece of this collaboration. EDWIN selvedge denim dyed with Kyoto persimmon and tailored into a modern silhouette with sashiko details.

DENIM TWIST TOP / Persimmon Dyed Denim

A piece made from bleached Lyocell denim, naturally dyed with Kyoto persimmon. It features a twisted, structured silhouette and a lace-up back for adjustable fit.

Simultaneously Available Pieces

During the event, SHOHEI's signature items will also be available.

・IRENE MINI DRESS: An origami-inspired mini dress with a structured silhouette, made from 100% Lyocell TENCEL™. The detachable pleated detail on the chest changes expression depending on how it's worn.

・MAKATO SHIRT: A shirt dyed with green tea. SHOHEI's signature band-collar shirt. Made from 100% organic Japanese cotton, naturally dyed with Shizuoka green tea, and finished with sand-colored reflective trimming and silver metal buttons.

・FRINGE TOP: A cropped top made from Japanese fringe embroidered cotton (100% cotton), featuring chunky pleats on the chest. The cotton satin lacing on the back allows for adjustable width.

Customers who purchase items totaling 50,000 JPY (tax included) or more during the event will receive one bottle of "SHOHEI ZEN DENIM IPA," a craft beer collaborated by SHOHEI and Teenage Brewing. This craft IPA, with a persimmon flavor, is designed to match the world of ZEN DENIM.
