Is "Exclusive Photoshoot" her next subject of analysis!?
Kaho Miyake, the literary critic who has produced a series of bestsellers—including "Why Do We Stop Reading Books When We Start Working?" which surpassed 300,000 copies sold and won the Shinsho Award 2025—has taken on the challenge of an exclusive photoshoot for Weekly Post.
The shoot took place in Kyoto, where Miyake is based, at a historic and traditional temple, with her wearing glamorous red and green dresses.
The photographer was Kojiro Hosoi, whom Miyake mentions as the photographer for many photobooks of her favorite idol group, Nogizaka46.

Having experienced the unique atmosphere of an exclusive photoshoot, Miyake shared her thoughts on this first-time challenge as follows:
"In the literary world, senior writers like Mieko Kawakami and Hitomi Kanehara all look so beautiful in their photographs. Having actually tried it myself, it was just incredibly difficult. It was a great learning experience."
The Weekly Post magazine also features a long interview in which Miyake candidly reveals the secrets behind her hit books. Please take a look at this unprecedented photoshoot that transcends verbalization!
