Background - Conveying "Peace" Casually from the Island of Olives
Shodoshima is known as the "Island of Olives," where olive cultivation was first successfully introduced in Japan. Olives have also been recognized globally as a "symbol of peace."
Driven by the desire to convey the universal value of olives in a more everyday and casual manner, our company embarked on commercializing it in the form of "ramune," a drink that everyone can enjoy. Instead of a heavy message, this gently fizzy drink is designed to be naturally appealing to children and international tourists alike. We have named the moment of dropping the marble into the bottle as "Opening for Peace."
*This product does not use actual olive fruit. It is a product planned around the meaning and value of olives as a "symbol of peace." For product stability, natural flavors are used to express the taste, rather than fruit juice.

Thoughts of the Product Developer
I grew up with olives being a familiar presence on Shodoshima. I left the island for university and later started a family in Hiroshima after getting a job.
While living in Hiroshima, I witnessed children receiving peace education and the annual Peace Memorial Ceremony on August 6th firsthand for many years. On the other hand, in recent years, fewer people are able to directly recount their experiences of war and the atomic bombing, making "how to pass on these memories" a common topic of discussion in Hiroshima.
It was in the fall of the year before last that I decided to join our company with the desire to "contribute to my hometown." While commuting between Shodoshima and Hiroshima, I had been constantly thinking about what I could do to connect these two regions. Could I deliver something to Hiroshima and Nagasaki through olives, the symbol of my hometown Shodoshima and a global symbol of peace? That thought was the starting point for this product.
We want this product, in its casual ramune form rather than a stern message, to naturally appeal to children's smiles and international tourists visiting Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and to serve as an opportunity for them to think even a little about peace.
We initially considered using fruit juice, but for product stability in the form of ramune, we opted for flavor expression using natural ingredients.
