Announcement of 'Summer Kids Science 2026 in Shizuoka University'

Shizuoka University is pleased to announce the "Summer Kids Science" event at our Hamamatsu Campus, designed for elementary school students in grades 3 through 6.

This event aims to stimulate children's interest in science by encouraging them to explore the "why" behind various phenomena through hands-on activities. We will provide unique experimental programs that are not easily encountered in daily life, such as generating hydrogen through water electrolysis to launch rockets, and building simple microscopes using PET bottles and glass beads.

A key feature of this event is that parents participate alongside their children, allowing them to share the joy of learning at home. Through this event, we hope to provide an opportunity for children to encounter the wonders of science and broaden their interest in future studies.

- Morning session: 10:00–12:00 (Doors open at 9:30)
- Afternoon session: 14:00–16:00 (Doors open at 13:30)

Shizuoka University, Hamamatsu Campus, Faculty of Engineering Building 8, 1st Floor, Biology Laboratory

■ Target Audience
Elementary school students, grades 3–6 (Parental accompaniment mandatory)

■ Capacity
7 pairs per session (14 pairs in total; lottery if oversubscribed)
