Over half of high school students answered that they have become more careful about "riding on the right side and going the wrong way"! What else have they become more careful about?
Two months have passed since the introduction of the "Traffic Violation Notice System (commonly known as the Blue Ticket System)." Have high school students become more careful about anything when riding bicycles since its enforcement?
This time, YTJP conducted a questionnaire survey on "awareness after the introduction of the blue ticket system" targeting high school students nationwide.
First, regarding whether they feel police enforcement has strengthened since the system's enforcement, the results are as follows.
61.1% of male students and 67.3% of female students answered that they "feel" or "somewhat feel" it, with over half feeling the strengthening of enforcement.
Next, regarding what they have become more careful about since the enforcement of the blue ticket system, the results are as follows.
The most common thing students have become more careful about is "riding on the right side and going the wrong way," with about 40% of both male and female students answering this.
The second most common was "how to ride on sidewalks," with about 30% of both male and female students saying they have become more careful.
The third was "stopping at stop signs," the fourth was "riding while wearing earphones," and the fifth was "riding while looking at or holding a smartphone."
Other responses included becoming more careful about bicycle maintenance, such as "checking brakes and lights."
On the other hand, nearly 20% of male students and nearly 40% of female students answered that they "do not ride bicycles."
