【1】New Character "Yomumu" Appears!

Shincho Bunko's character has been renewed. Its name is "Yomumu."

Yomumu is a mysterious traveler who journeys through the world of books. Its fluffy body is packed with overflowing curiosity. The accompanying sun and clouds serve as both light and shade, aiding Yomumu's reading. Please visit a bookstore to meet Yomumu!

【2】Shincho Bunko x Mount Rainier Collaboration Decided! Nationwide Bookstore Party "Honpa" Held!

"Shincho Bunko" and "Mount Rainier" are collaborating with the concept of "A Real Break."

We will be holding "Honpa," a reading experience event that anyone, whether they usually read books or don't have much time to read, can easily participate in with a Mount Rainier in hand. The event will feature a variety of activities that leverage the individuality of each bookstore, such as live music, appearances by DJs who resemble famous writers, puzzle-solving events, and ghost stories.

The "Shincho Bunko 100 Books" booklet will also be distributed at bookstores starting in late June.

In addition to introducing new and existing books, please also pay attention to the reading pages, which include a section looking back at the 50-year history of the fair and a special project to decide the representative players for the "Literary Greats World Cup."

And this year, "The 0th Book" was created. It is an "experiential book" that makes reading more accessible and enjoyable.

"I want to read, but what should I read? How should I read?" This book was born in response to such questions. As you turn the pages, you'll find large text, cute illustrations, and even rest areas. It's packed with hints for enjoying reading. The included work "Now, My Page 70" is a newly written short story by Maiko Seo. It's a story about the middle school siblings Ikumi and his younger sister Ikuko. At the end of the book, there is also a "Recommended Book Introduction" where you can choose your next read based on your mood.

It will be distributed free of charge to middle and high schools nationwide, and the e-book version can be downloaded for free from various e-book stores.
