Commemorating the Stage Play 'Narusé Will Conquer the World': Joint Stamp Rally Announced by Ōtsu City and Kyoto City

Minami Miyajima, a resident of Ōtsu City, Shiga Prefecture, authored 'Narusé Will Conquer the World', a breakout literary sensation that won multiple awards including the 2024 Booksellers' Award, despite being her debut novel. The series concluded with the release of 'Narusé Races Through the Capital' on December 1, 2023, surpassing 2.2 million copies in total sales.

To celebrate the stage adaptation of the 'Narusé Akari Series' in Kyoto and Ōtsu in July 2026, the cities of Ōtsu and Kyoto have jointly announced the 'Stamp Rally Across Ōtsu and Kyoto'. Participants will visit iconic locations featured in the novels.

Author Profile: Minami Miyajima

Born in 1983 (Showa 58). Resident of Ōtsu City, Shiga Prefecture. Graduated from the Faculty of Letters, Kyoto University. In 2021 (Reiwa 3), she won the Grand Prize, Reader's Prize, and Tomochika Prize at the 'Women's R-18 Literature Award for Women' with 'Thank You, Seibu Ōtsu Store'. She made her literary debut in 2023 with 'Narusé Will Conquer the World', which includes that story. The novel received the Shizuoka Shoten Grand Prize for Fiction, the Tsutome Jōji Literary Award, the Booksellers' Award, and many others. The 'Narusé Akari Series' concluded as a trilogy with 'Narusé Walks the Path She Believes In' and 'Narusé Races Through the Capital'. Other works include 'Kekkon Katsudo Maestro' and 'Go! Heianbu'.
